Always Cubans

Cubans are unparalleled as the popular saying goes. They are capable of overcoming any obstacle no matter how difficult it may seem. Ever since they reaffirmed the profound concept of nationality in the 19th century.

Of heroic thoughts and deeds are those born in this island that, as Bonifacio Byrne said of its flag: “(…) is the one that has never been mercenary”.

Of heroes, intellectuals, professionals, workers, peasants, common and ordinary people. This people is made up of pure stock, and freedom won in the fields of battle and ideas.

Resistance with resilience is an uncommon duality in human practices and the proof is ongoing in Cuba. Where people live with the minimum or almost nothing, in times when everything becomes almost imposible. In a world where one percent of the world’s population owns eighty percent of the wealth.

Cubans face adversity without giving up, suggest solutions to problems and consider gratitude as the supreme value.

Cuban citizenship corresponds to the sense of belonging to the autochthonous. To the symbols of the nation. Dignifying them as sacred, maintaining national sovereignty. Giving prestige and protecting the human being, although sometimes it seems that reality exceeds aspirations.

In spite of all adversities, bridges of love continue to be built, solidarity continues to be the debt owed to humanity and almost without power. Cubans are in all corners of the world out of conviction.

Both inside and outside, Cubans continue to contribute to their families and their country. The passion for Cuba is above all and this can be achieved by the unity around the ideology of Marti, Fidel Castro and the homeland.
