With an industrial capacity of 500 kilograms per day, the La Conchita minindustry in Holguin province contributes to local self-sufficiency through the commercialization to entities of its elaborations based on meat and its derivatives.
Located in the municipality of Cacocum, Aracelis Leyva Batista explained to CNA that it contributes to the adequate nutrition of workers and the population in general by supplying production and service institutions with a variety of hams, mortadellas, croquettes and other types of sausages.
To this end, they have agreements with the Lázaro Peña Cigar Factory, the Jesús Feliú Leyva Tobacco Factory and Garbo. The Construction Workers’ Services Company, he mentioned.
In addition, he said that they have established linkages with more than ten entities, including the ExpoHolguin Fairgrounds and, for the acquisition of raw materials and the sale of products, they have agreements with new forms of management in provinces such as Camagüey and Havana.
In this sense, he commented that for the elaborations they use pork, chicken and boneless dough, where they take full advantage of the ingredients to innovate recipes such as croquettes and Leygonz cooked ham. Which reduces costs and increases the variety of offers.
Leyva Batista added that they have a branch in the provincial capital and are preparing the opening of a store, which will facilitate the sale of their preparations directly to the population and at affordable prices.
The La Conchita mini-industry has been in existence for more than seven years and at the recent Entrepreneurs Fair “Holguin for a 26th in the 25th” it launched its brand of Leygonz products whose impact stands out in the territory with its social work in support of vulnerable groups.
