More than 10 foreign leaders have confirmed their participation in Moscow in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany.
Among the guests are heads of state of the CSTO and CIS member states. Including Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian.
On May 9th, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Khomart Tokayev, and the head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will also arrive in Moscow.
The participation of several leaders from the Asia-Pacific region has also been confirmed. Chinese President Xi Jinping personally expressed his desire to visit Moscow, and the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, also confirmed his presence at the parade.
Among European leaders, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik will also attend the festivities in Moscow.
Brazilian head of state Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will arrive in Moscow from Latin America for the festive events. In addition, the presidents of Palestine and Cuba, Mahmoud Abbas and Miguel Diaz-Canel, will be present on the steps of Red Square on Victory Day.
The President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, and the head of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev, will also arrive in the Russian capital on May 9th.

Festive events will be spread all over Russia, with more than 170 major events planned. Among them are the actions “Candle of Remembrance”, “Garden of Remembrance”, “St. George’s Ribbon” and “Immortal Regiment”, and special attention will be paid to the memorable dates of great battles.
Culture Minister Olga Liubimova stressed that the anniversary celebrations will be the largest in recent decades.
