Implementation of the Social Communication Law Evaluated at Radio Angulo

Cubas Institute of Social Communication (ICS) made its first control visit to the Radio Angulo radio station in Holguin. To verify compliance with the Law on Information and Social First national event of lodging services begins in HolguinCommunication.

During the evaluation, the ICS team emphasized the need for structural and procedural changes. To align communication strategies with what is legally established. “It is not enough to know the theory, we must verify if there are the governing documents.

The written procedures and the citizen participation required by law,” explained Noya Martínez. Radio Angulo, as a pioneering media in this process. It will serve as a reference for future evaluations in the national media sphere.

However, the province faces the challenge of extending the application of the regulation. Currently limited to 50% of the territory due to the shortage of qualified personnel. This action is part of a broader national plan that encompasses government agencies, the media and community projects.

The final objective is to consolidate an integrated strategic management of communication. In line with what is established by Cuban policy in this area.

The preliminary results of this evaluation will be analyzed in a detailed report that will include recommendations to optimize compliance with the Law on Information and Social Communication.
