The XXV Habanos Festival concludes today with a gala at Pabexpo, where the auction of luxury humidors will take place and the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Cohiba’s Behike line, one of the extensive portfolio of the joint venture Habanos S.A.
With the presence of some 1,300 lovers of premium cigars, from 110 nations, this week Havana has become the capital of the tobacco world, and particularly the Convention Center has been the scene of important events.
A trade fair was held on its premises with exhibitors from 10 countries, an international seminar with keynote speeches and panels by experts, launches of new vitolas, a competition called Habanos World Challenge and other activities.
The intense program also included visits to plantations of the aromatic leaf in plains of Pinar del Río, and to tobacco factories in the capital, where foreign visitors learned how cigars of excellent quality come out of the hands of skilled rollers.
On this occasion, the Habanos Festival was dedicated to celebrating the 15th anniversaries of the iconic Behike Line of Cohíba, a universal symbol of luxury and exclusivity, and 150 of the Romeo y Julieta brand, one of the most emblematic of Habanos S.A.
As usually happens every year, the monetary funds raised from the humidor auction, on the gala night and closing of the meeting, will go to Cuban Public Health.
