The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, confirmed this Friday the march of the sugar harvest at the Fernando de Dios sugar mill of the Popular Council of Tacajó, in the Holguin municipality of Báguanos.
During the tour of the sugar industry, the president exchanged with workers and managers, taking an interest in payment systems, attention to man, compliance with production and efficiency indicators, as well as aspects that affect the main tasks of the sugar mill.
At the exit of the “Fernando de Dios” the people waited for him, greeting him and conveying that “in the midst of difficulties we are not crossing our arms and action is being taken on all fronts.”
Díaz-Canel also visited sites of socioeconomic interest in the municipalities of Urbano Noris and Cueto.
In Urbano, Noris visited productive areas of the Mambí Front Manuel Rodríguez Fuentes, from Limoncito, where he was interested in the recovery of this essential pole for food production in the province.
According to Maikel Cordero, a journalist for the community radio station in that municipality, on his Facebook portal, the Cuban president recalled the time in which he was settled in that place, with long days of agricultural work, and pointed out that this recovery must be definitive for the Mambí Front.
There, the publication adds, he spoke with the head of the pole, Luis Rodríguez Tamayo, about the plans they have for the plantings, taking advantage of the benefits of the irrigation system and the good quality of the land, and recognized that there is still a lot of potential to be exploited in the site, for the sake of food production for the people.
