Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla condemned the recent measures adopted by the United States government against Venezuela, which he described as harmful.
The Cuban foreign minister through the social network X also reiterated his support for the Venezuelan people, ratifying solidarity with the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, in the face of this new imperial onslaught.
We reject measures taken by the U.S. government against #Venezuela, which attack legitimate revenues received by that country.
All our solidarity with the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people, in the face of this new imperial onslaught.

The new sanctions directly affect the U.S. oil company Chevron, which has maintained an agreement with Venezuela since Joe Biden’s administration.
This agreement allowed Chevron to export oil from Venezuela to the United States, a production that had increased in 2022.
The oil company Chevron had authorization to operate in Venezuela until the end of July of this year.
However, with the recent measures imposed by the Donald Trump administration, Chevron will be forced to withdraw from Venezuela, which will impact not only the Venezuelan people, but also the U.S. citizens who depend on this production.
With these measures, the U.S. government is once again putting into practice its interest in harming the economic, political, and social stability of Venezuela.
The White House’s decision is contradictory, since, on the one hand, the Trump administration seeks to control migration; while, on the other, it imposes sanctions that will likely generate more displacements.
Cuba’s position reflects its firm rejection of the unilateral and coercive policies of the United States, while reaffirming its commitment to solidarity and support for Venezuela in the face of new imperial aggressions.
