Academics from the province of Holguin left their mark at the XXXIII Havana International Book Fair, which culminated this Sunday in its Havana edition, with a mixture of various arts such as literature, cinema, tourism and culinary.
Interviewed by Prensa Latina, Master of Science Eduardo Puente, representative of the Holguin Book and Reading Observatory, commented that at the National Bookseller‘s Workshop, in the fortress of La Cabaña, Professor Evelina Cardet presented a unique experience in Cuba.
With the experience of her five books published by Ediciones Holguin and Conciencia Ediciones, the academic combined poetry with culinary recipes made later from the foods and drinks mentioned in verses by Holguin poets, Puente said.
Wines, minced meat and fish from the stanzas, arrived at the table from the hands of specialists from the tourism training school in the territory. The tasting was also linked to cigars and tobacco, Puente said.
Cinema was also the protagonist in this experience, because from the food reflected in various Cuban films, the teachers of the tourism training school made different recipes.
According to Puente, Cardet‘s texts also address the visual arts, dance, the seventh art and literature; and this is the form that Ediciones Holguin has taken to make the work of the Culture–Tourism Commission a reality in practical facts that benefit the population.
The interviewee himself presented at this International Fair the experiences of the Culture–Tourism pavilion at the Holguin Book Fair, and the signing of the collaboration agreement between the Provincial Center of Book and Literature and the school of tourism, among others.
The 33rd Havana International Book Fair, inaugurated on February 13, culminated its chapter in the Cuban capital on Sunday, but will continue with activities in all provinces until March.
