Numerous activities are taking place at Lucía Iñiguez Landín Clinical and Surgical Hospital from the 6th to the 28 of November, as part of the celebrations for the 26th anniversary of its start-up.
Among the actions designed for the occasion, stand out the following activities: every Wednesday, during the general duty handovers, in which the different sub-directorates and departments of the institution, with special emphasis on the performance of outstanding young people who have been trained at the hospital and who are currently involved in health care work, including residents and students of Nursing and different health technologies.
In this center created “…as a reward and as a motivation for the people of Holguin…”, in the words of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, during its inauguration in 1998, will take place in homage to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, the traditional scientific event of the year – November 21st to the 22nd – with the presentation of the most relevant research by the center’s professionals, presented in the form of papers and electronic posters related to the quality of patient care, professional training and teaching activities. This space is intended to consolidate itself as a high-level scientific exchange.
Also as part of this event, cleaning and beautification work will take place, as well as the fair recognition to the services and professionals during the political and cultural gala that will take place on the 28th.
This celebration for the 26th anniversary coincides with the Health Workers’ Day, which will last until December 18, a day for which it is planned to recognize those who work in those teaching fields, on the occasion of the approaching Cuban Educator’s Day.
