Joyful celebration by agriculture workers in Holguín

Agriculture workers and cattle ranchers from Holguín held the main provincial event for their day, which took place at the fairgrounds of Mayabe Valley.

The event was the excuse to recognize the units with relevant results on production, as well as economic and in the union of the agriculture in the province of Holguín.

Some 17 youths were recognized for the passing of a diploma course which trained them as cadres’ reserves and provincial leaders to be in this sector.

Likewise, workers with a long and fruitful dedication to work received recognition certificates, among which stand out merits like their nonstop work in the sector for 20 and 25 years.

They also recognized individual producers and units with a remarkable work in the production of goods and services.

Leonardo Aguilera González, secretary general the Union of Agriculture, Ranchers, Forestry and Tobacco Workers in the province, stressed in the closing words the commitment of the union members to increase food production.

The celebration was held on the presence of Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, of governor Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, and other political and government leaders from the municipality of Holguín.

Other leaders of the country’s Anap farmers’ organization, of the Cuban Workers Confederation, the delegation of Agriculture, and other managers of agriculture and cattle ranching companies of the territory.
