Logo, 20th Anniversary of Art Instructors’ Brigade, Holguín
he José Martí Art Instructors Brigade in Holguin will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a wide program of activities, which will last until October 22nd.
Julia Bárbara Suárez Ramírez, president of the brigade in the territory, explained in a press conference that the objective is to strengthen the presence of these professionals in the special programs, among them, the attention to the maternity homes, the houses for children without family protection and the elderly.
She also announced that during these days there will be cultural presentations in the educational facilities, activations of the called artists’ guerrillas in the different municipalities and there will also be a generational meeting with the students of the Raúl Gómez García School of Art.
Suarez Ramirez announced that the municipality of Holguin will host the provincial event for the celebration due to the results of the Brigade in the realization of contests such as “My puppet at home”, “My makeup from home” and “Where the palm grows”.
It also highlights the acceptance of the space “Vivencias” carried out during the Romerías de Mayo festival and the participation in the upcoming 12th National Workshop for the Exchange of Experiences.
The José Martí Art Instructors Brigade was founded by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, in 2004 after the first graduation of the National School of Art Instructors, and focuses on promoting dialogue and respect for artistic creation and active interaction with culture.
