Xetid contributes to bankarization in Holguín

The territorial division of Empresa de Tecnologías de la Información para la Defensa (Xetid) in Holguín, continues its contribution to the advancement of the national policy of bankarization with the development of a virtual store for the acquisition of liquefied gas.

In order to expand e-commerce offers, as established in Resolution 111/2023, and in response to a demand from the population, the Cupet platform was created in conjunction with the Cuba-Petroleum Union, Félix Moreno Casanova, director of the institution, told ACN.

The website, available at cupet.xutil.net, began operating in May this year for 18 selling shops in the municipality of Holguin, where through the ENZONA application the reservation of the product is made at the established cost, he explained.

The amount of gas cylinders offered is updated on a daily basis, depending on the stocks of the state entity, while the purchase can be made from anywhere in the Greater Antilles, as long as a beneficiary with a contract in any of the added centers is named, he said.

The executive pointed out that so far, during the page’s test period, more than seven thousand users have used the store, which facilitates accessibility to energy resources and promotes the use of electronic payment channels in commercial transactions.

At present, both institutions are working to expand the use of the platform with the incorporation of the municipalities of Moa and Antilla, and expand its services by making it possible, from the interface, to contract the home delivery service, for which they will count on the collaboration of Correos de Cuba post-office company, he added.

Xetid, a company specialized in the software, automation and communications sector, promotes technological progress with the creation of the Ticket application to speed up processes, and the QvaLike, Sabor Cubano and Campismo Popular platforms, which offer options for the enjoyment of the Cuban family.
