The province of Holguin promotes habitat and urbanism programs as part of the strategies to improve the quality of life in the communities and develop key sectors of the economy.
César Paterson Rodríguez, delegate of the Institute of Territorial and Urban Planning (Inotu), told ACN that the projects include the creation of outdoor recreational areas, the technical analysis of housing and the improvement of health conditions.
He pointed out that they also include the elimination of construction illegalities, which exceeded 4,000 in 2023, and the relocation of houses in danger zones, for example in the sand dunes or the coast, threatened by the effects of global warming.
It also includes housing policies taking into account factors such as sustainable land use and benefits to vulnerable sectors and populations, included in the social programs of the Cuban Revolution, he said.
