Just a few days ago -from July 5 to 7-, the province of Holguin once again became the epicenter of electronic music in Cuba by hosting the seventh edition of the Aquafest Festival, held at the El Bosque Motel and Gabinete Caligari.
This Festival, sponsored by the Empresa Comercializadora de la Música y los Espectáculos, the Dirección Provincial de Cultura and the Islazul Hotel Chain, included, in addition to the popular sessions, a body art event.
The organizer of the event, Alexei Parra, assured that Aquafest constitutes an excellent opportunity to share the most recent musical productions and to educate the public in the art of turntables from Holguin, one of the most outstanding localities in the genre.
The host explained that the Festival from its origins seeks to promote young talent, as well as to foster the exchange of DJ producers from Cuba and abroad.
On this occasion, the event was dedicated to the 113th anniversary of the birth of the King of the double meaning, Faustino Oramas Osorio “El Guayabero”, and had guests from Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
