The Holguin branch of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods (FCBC for its Spanish acronym) received the National Vanguard status for the relevant results and contributions in the economic, productive and union work during the year 2023.
In the Revolution Hall of the Provincial Museum La Periquera, in the city of Holguin, the institution that for seven straight years is honored with the decoration, received this Monday the recognition by the Cuban Workers Confederation.
Manuel Hernández Aguilera, director of the FCBC branch in the territory, highlighted the work carried out by artisans, artists and workers in obtaining results such as the over-fulfillment of the established plan so far this year and the excellent reception of the fairs held for the commercialization of products.
This recognition constitutes a stimulus and commitment for all, since the FCBC has to continue demonstrating that efficiency is the patrimony of the institution and the socialist state enterprise, he said.
For his part, Félix Martínez Pérez, provincial secretary of the National Union of Culture Workers, commented that the motivation, participation and unity of the members of the Holguin branch, are essential elements to be worthy of such distinction, as well as to provide creative solutions to the obstacles of the current situation.
The FCBC’s Holguin branch office, the fourth of its kind in the country, has the mission of promoting and commercializing the works and services of creators of the plastic and applied arts, aimed at the development of aesthetic taste and the defense of society’s cultural values.
