Holguin province semifinals of Little League baseball defined

This Saturday the semifinalists of the Little League Baseball in Holguin were defined when the winning teams got two straight victories in four municipal fields.

The defending champions, Sultancitos of Holguín, overwhelmed 10×0 and 18×0 the Mambisitos de Cacocum, at the Combinado Deportivo Feliú Leyva, with respective wins for Dayron Oro, who struck out nine batsmen in four innings, and Alexander Martínez.

The Tigrecitos of Báguanos, at Ricardo Bent William baseball stadium, left the provincial runners-up Pequeños Ferroviarios of Cueto on the road with scores of 9×8, with José Fuentes in the box, and then 10×0 with Ernesto Monje smiling.

At Rogelio Herrera stadium, the Leoncitos of Frank País took advantage of their locality to defeat the Cafetaleritos of Sagua 9×2 and 9×5. The winning pitchers were Onielvis de la Cruz and Aureano Anache.

The Vaqueritos of the municipality of Calixto García also took advantage of their home club status to dispose, at the Orlando Proenza Vera Stadium, of the Indiecitos of Banes with a 10×0 score with a smile from San Rafael Ramírez, who struck out seven batters in 4 2/3 innings and offensively hit a run in three innings and pushed in a run, and then 9×3 with an individual triumph by Yoannis Osorio.

Next Saturday 20 and, if necessary, Sunday 21, the provincial semifinals of Little League baseball will take place at Ricardo Bent baseball field where the team of Báguanos receives the squad from Frank País and at Feliú Leyva baseball field Holguin team welcomes the sqaud from Calixto García.
