The Oral Narration Company “Palabras al Viento”, with the sponsorship of the Honorary Chair of Oral Narration “Mayra Navarro”, the Provincial Council of Performing Arts of Holguin and the Cultural Complex Theater Eddy Suñol, call for the First Oral Narration Festival “El mundo de palabras” (The world of words).
The invitation, through the Facebook profile of the host group, has been extended to oral narrators and scenic artists in all the modalities of artistic orality.
The event will be held from April 9 to 15 next year, celebrating the anniversaries of the Casa del Cuento de Holguin and, especially, the 20th anniversary of “Palabras al Viento”.
Those interested in registering must send an application with names and surnames, province (or country, in the case of foreigners), telephone number, e-mail and group or performing institution to which they belong, together with the synopsis of the show, photos, videos, duration and target audience.
Palabras al Viento specifies that Cuban participants will make the coordinations through the provincial councils of the Performing Arts, while foreigners should communicate directly with the organizers, through the e-mail serayoyi@gmail.com, until January 10, 2024, since the official list of participants and guests will be announced on January 20, 2024.

The program of the First Oral Narration Festival includes performances at the Casa del Cuento, theaters, cultural institutions, schools, public squares and Holguin communities.
As the announcement states, such a festival is necessary “since the word is the primary vehicle of communication, it is energy, information and in the wind it travels and becomes strong. Since the story, like the word, accompanies us since the beginning of time and comes step by step, gaining spaces that once were elusive. Since boys, girls, men, women, the whole of humanity, bring their ears closer to the charms of artistic orality”.
