
The Health System in the province of Holguin started this October the 2nd a new psychosocial study for the benefit of people with disabilities, the only one of its kind in Cuba so far.

The research will allow the promotion and updating of policies to continue expanding accessibility and inclusion of these citizens in areas such as cultural improvement, access to employment and comprehensive rehabilitation.
The study will be carried out at the University of Medical Sciences, where specialists will be trained in this evaluation and will take into account living conditions, family relationships, among other parameters, Sandra Bárbara Gurris Hidalgo, head of the program at the Provincial Public Health Directorate, told ACN.
The process will also include the clinical and functional evaluation of this vulnerable population group, which will allow for an update on treatments and rehabilitation therapies, she explained.
