Summer season celebrations 2023 oficially concluded this Saturday in Moa, the municipality that held the closing event in the Cuban province of Holguin. Such honor was given to the called “land of nickel” for its steady and outstanding work in this period.
The closing event was tinged by the performance of La Colmenita de Moa and the members of the José Martí Brigade of Arts Instructores , during which the protagonists of such a deed and institutions with a remarkable work during that recreation summer program were recognized.
Many proposals took place during the summer stage throughout the Cuban province of Holguín, so that institutions of Culture, Sports, Gastronomy Services, Recreation and Lodging redoubled efforts for the enjoyment of the people all across the province, said María Amalia Cansino Pérez, president of the Provincial Summer Season Commission.
The challenge was to maintain during these two months the initiatives appropriate to each age group, diversity and likes, said Cansino Pérez in the closing speech.
She also acknowledged the work done in the 14 municipalities, especially in Banes, Holguín, Calixto García, Mayarí, and of course Moa, where Sports, Culture, Education, Commerce Business Group, Health, the Ministry of Tourism and Transportation had an outstanding participation, together with other insurance and different logistic suppliers.
In a tour of the Pioneers and Youths Palace “Sueños de niños”, Miraflores Hotel and the Los Framboyanes recreational center, the authorities were able to see the various recreational options that were available to the people of Moa during the summer.
