The Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, paid a working this Thursday to the production farm in Beola, in the municipality of Rafael Freyre, where he learnt about growing plans of plantain fields.
The also deputy to the National Assembly of the People’s Power (Parliament) for the municipality of Gibara, targeted on the need of creating conditions for the experienced peasants to play a key role in food production, at the time he also emphasized on the importance of increasing crops to reduce prices to the population’s welbeing.

In a visit to the rural community of Santa María, in the municipality of Gibara, the member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba learned about the alternatives to bring food and medicines to the place, in addition to underlining the importance of the warehouses as centers for the commercialization of basic necessities.
Previously, in Santa Marta tile factory, he was concerned about the completion and elaboration of the productions, the quality of the material, as well as the wages of the workers, the possibilities aimed at humanizing their work and he learned about the expansion of the kiln with a capacity for seven thousand bricks and four thousand slabs.
During the tour, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province; Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguín, Sonia Chacón Fernández, deputy to the Cuban parliament for this territory, among other local authorities.
