The sale of uniforms began in Holguin province sight the start of the 2020-2021 school year, which is set to open upcoming November. Commerce decided to sell the uniforms in 226 shops where preventive measures on COVID-19 should be observed.
Omer Gonzalez Velazquez, commercial of the Commerce branch in Holguin, said they have worked together with Education to bring the uniforms closer to the people’s homes.
But also, that they devised a schedule to organize families going to buy the schools uniforms, in accordance with the teaching levels, so avoiding people packing around shops, and this way keep physical distance. The shops could even keep selling uniforms over time, if necessary.
The commercial informed that they will be selling uniforms for the beginners in the elementary school, and those starting the fifth grade. Such a thing happens because of the shortness of the fabric needed to make the school garments.
It was also said that if the size does fit children, parents or tutors can change the uniforms in a seventh day term. Omer Gonzalez Velazquez, commercial of the Commerce branch in Holguin, said that to response to people’s claims on the size, the dress making workshops across the province have taken measures to work on it for the next academic year.
