People’s socioeconomic concerns are given priority by the local governments; mostly because they want to close 2018 with better outcomes in the zeal of achieving the needed efficiency for the development of the 14 municipalities of the province of Holguin.
In the first place, the needed increment of food production, and the preparation of the coming sugar harvest which needs to be better.
The Program of tourism development and housing require top priority for their economic and social influence in the territory, mostly because there is a long way to go to meet the goals set.
They recognize that environmental hygiene is not less important to guarantee the people’s health; that is why, the concern to keep places free of vectors or breeding grounds.
And to keep environmental hygiene right, they need to fight social indiscipline, illegalities, crime and corruption, that disrupt the principles of the socialist society.
They also agree that to meet the goals set everyone’s contribution is required; as proclaimed in the social communication strategy “Mas Holguineros, Mas Podemos” (The more united Holguin people are, the stronger they will be), which will go on to build the better Holguin that they want.
