Colombian Accord Is a Significant Step for Peace
The accord signed by the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces and the government constitutes a new and significant step in the advancements of efforts for peace.

The statement was made by the Cuban warrantor at the peace talks Rodolfo Benitez in the signing ceremony, which was attended by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

The latest accord joins others on the talks agenda, such as Integral agrarian development policy, political participation and solution to the problems of illegal drugs, said Benitez who added that advancement is also being made on the issue relevant to the end of the conflict.

The agreement reached referred to the victims of the conflict, which have been at the center of a final accord. Several delegations of victims attended the negotiations and participated in forums and sent in their proposals, which were crucial for achieving the agreement.
