After being vaccinated, against different diseases, more than 1,000 children died in India from April to December last year, a situation about which the authorities in this country are concerned.

Sources of the health sector explained to the newspaper The Hindu that the case was under investigation, although they clarified that not all the deaths could be related to the vaccines.

The numbers include minors that were already seriously sick with congenital diseases, but died during a specific period after the immunization, they remarked.

In comparison, there were 111 and 176 deaths of that cause in 2015 and 2016, respectively, according to official statistics.

The data showed that they recorded 21,450 cases of skin rash or abscess and more than 260,000 minor adverse reactions after the vaccination.

Pradeep Haldar, director of the Health Ministry division for monitoring reactions related to immunization, explained that the data provided by the states in the country were not always precise.

'Only after monitoring each case, we are able to reliably attribute the cause of death or other serious relations to the process. Sometimes it takes up to three years to verify the figures,' he said. Thyb calculated that every 100,000 vaccinated children less than 10 suffer from a serious adverse reaction, said pediatrician Gagandeep Kang, member of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization.
