According to authorities of seismic alert services of Central America and the Caribbean, it is expect that today occur posible replicas of the earthquake that shook the zone only a few hours ago

According to the U.S. Geological Service (USGS),the quake of magnitude 7.6 in the Richter scale shook the áreas between Honduras and Cuba and provoked an alert for tsunami that could affect Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.

Regarding Cuba, the National Center of Seismological Research offered details of the event, located 44 kilometers east of Swan Islands in Honduras and some 450 kilometers south-southwest of the Isle of Youth.

The second perceptible quake this year, the seismic movement occurred in the Fault of Motaguam that goes from the islands Cayman and Guatemala, in the Western Caribbean Sea, says the digital website Cubadebate.

High buildings of the southern Isle of Youth and western province of Pinar del Rio felt the shakes of this seismic event, that ocurre don 9:51 pm local time, with epicenter located in the 17.46 degrees latitude north and 83.52 degrees longitude west, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

News media of the region report that the Center of Tsunami Alerts of the Pacific activated the alert for tidal waves in the zone.

The seism registered with epicenter out of the Mexican territory was felt in Quintana Roo and surroundings, said for its part the National Seismological Systemn through its Twitter account.

Salvadoran authorities inform about two replicas in the same zone, one of magnitude 4.5 and another of 4.3, both at a depth of 10 kilometers.
