The 21st World Congress on Safety and Health at Work began this Sunday in Singapore, focusing on accidents in the workplace and occupational diseases, as well as on their economic impact.

According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), numerous facts confirm the worldwide cost of inability to respond effectively to occupational safety and health problems. Therefore, the entity will address problems and challenges such as the future of work, the need for global solutions and the availability of reliable and comparable data, the improvement of safety and health in the workplace and good practices in this area.

The event brings together over 3,000 specialists, researchers and leaders, representing employers, workers and governments from all regions of the world.
