The Five: Example of Humility and Patriotism
As part of the tour across Holguin province by four of The Five: Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez attended a meeting held in the provincial capital city with party and government officials, leaders of mass organizations, military officials and of the Ministry of Interior and the Association of Cuban Combatants.

During two hours of exchange, Antonio, Fernando and Gerardo shared anecdotes, most of them full of deep patriotism and humanism.

In the meeting, they urged people to continue the construction of the "Cuba that we want". There were also expressions of love and pride for the Five and their families, examples of modesty and revolutionary convictions.

The Cuban heroes stressed their commitment to this visit to the Holguin province, a debt they had with the land of Fidel and Raul. They thanked those present for their contribution to the development of the Colloquiums held here for nine years, an event that gathered together the people of Holguin and hundreds of friends around the world, who joined the struggle for their release.

They highlighted the importance of every meeting to their cause and expressed their impressions on their stay in Holguin. "The people will never allow the imprisonment of the Five has been in vain," said Gerardo, who also said to have received the most number of letters from Holguin during his stay in prison.

During the meeting, Antonio and Gerardo received a replica of the Aldabon (Door knocker) of the main gate of La Periquera, symbol of the city of Holguin and highest distinction granted by the municipal Assembly of People's Power. Rene, Fernando and Ramon have had previously received the distinction during a visit to this eastern territory. / By Ahora.
