Holguin: The 5 Meet with Solidarity with Cuba Movement

The four of The Five now visiting Holguin met with activists that attended the nine International Colloquiums for their release held in this northeastern province.

Activists from 13 nations, youths from different parts of the world that are studying in Cuba and reps of the local committees of solidarity with The Five met at ExpoHolguin trade grounds, which hosted the nine International Colloquiums for the release of the now Heroes of the Republic of Cuba.

Many activists took the floor, as Austrian Stefan Kreen who among many others pioneered the Colloquiums.

But also Jordi Mata of Association of Solidarity with Cuba in Valencia (Spain), Canadians Linda Mac Dowel and Yves Lemay, Mexican Jose Luis Alonso, Costa Rican Jose Valverde, Greek Dimitri Dimos and some other supporters of that fair cause.

They all praised the merit, sacrifice and values of The Five who bring light to the world, who have become an example of dignity and solidarity.

They all agreed that The Five not alone belong to Cuba, but to all the world too.

Those International Colloquiums also planted the idea of holding the "Five for the Five" drive to demand their liberty and oppose terrorism in everyway.

The march and rally in support of The Five met the long earned dream of having all of The Five together in Holguin.
During the day, the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) acknowledged the activists and friends who supported Cuba and The Five's cause.

The people's warm not alone went for The Five, but also to their family members: their wives, Mirtha Rodriguez (mother of Antonio Guerrero), Adriana Perez and the beautiful Gema (mother and daughter of Gerardo Hernandez).

The event passed a Resolution which aims at continue on strengthening the world solidarity movement with Cuba and keep in touch with Holguin, to go on meeting there and share experiences, move forward the struggle for a better world, to make all the nations live in true brotherhood.
