The Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Ramon Labañino Salazar, meant how grateful The Five are with Holguin people for the wise idea of hosting nine Colloquiums held there to demand liberty for them, and fight terrorism. In fact, that massive solidarity movement played a significant role in our release, said him at a meeting with leaders and workers from the "Heroes del 26 de Julio" mechanical company.
Holguin deserves not alone our appreciation, but also by our family members who came to the Colloquium and felt the people's love and support.
If we are fee today, we owe much to the international solidarity and people like you that got enrolled into this struggle for making us return to the Homeland.
"We'll keep that deep within our hearts," said Labañino.
Eighty seven year old lady Teresa Rodriguez did not miss the meeting because she made a bow to climb the hill Loma de la Cruz when all of The Five were released: and she did that too when kind Elian Gonzalez came back to Cuba.
Prior to the meeting Labañino and his wife Elizabeth Palmeiro toured the factory, and were briefed on the history of that mechanical company inaugurated by Fidel Castro
The visitors shared with the workers and saw the new equipments manufactured there.
"It is a huge honor having visited this important factory, but the most significant thing is that it is a factory of Revolution and a patriotic stronghold," wrote Labañino in the visitor's book.
