Cuban Five Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez placed a wreath at the mausoleum of Major General Calixto Garcia Iñiguez, to honor the man that fought in the three wars for Cuba's Independence in the 19th century.

The also Heroes of the Republic of Cuba were accompanied by the top figures of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Provincial Government in Holguin.

The Cuban Five admitted that Holguin became the capital of solidarity with them in the struggle for their release.

After placing the wreath, the Heroes planted five trees in the Bosque de los Heroes, next to the Major General Calixto Garcia; but also signed the Book of Outstanding Visitors.

After the emotions lived there, the Cuban Five joined the river of people that marched along Los Libertadores avenue to reach at the Monument to Che Guevara, where they took part in a people's rally held there,.

In fact, Cuban and foreign activists rose their voices at the plaza of the Monument to Che Guevara during the nine Colloquiums held in Holguin to demand liberty for The Five.

But today's event had a different tinge, four of the Cuban Five were there, together with the people, to ratify love for the Homeland, patriotism and solidarity.
