Ten squads will take part in the "Aniversario 80 de la CMKO" softball cup to mark the 80 years of the foundation of that radio station in the Cuban city of Holguin.

The event to be played on weekends at the softball field of the Jesus Feliu Leyva sports compound will run from May seventh to June 26th.

The teams to play are Holguin Reporters, Sports Gathering of Retired Athletes, the local branch of Etecsa phone company, the Provincial Sports Directive Board, the Jesus Feliu Leyva sports compound, the local branch of the bank Banco Popular de Ahorro, Azcuba sugar business group, Holguin Dairy Company, Provincial Public Health and the Electricity Company.

The event's Organizing Committee is chaired by Jorge Ramiro Velasquez Remon, which is sponsored by the Sport Dpt. of Radio Angulo and the Sports Specialized Club of the Cuban Association of Media Staffers (Upec) in the province of Holguin.

Moraima Lopez Leon, the provincial directress of the Radio Broadcasting Systm in Holguin supported the call for a softball tourney to salute the 80 birthday of CNKO, a station founded by the revolutionary and martyr Manuel Angulo Farran, whose family name was given to this radio station.
