Holguin Shooter Pupo to Train in Tampa, Florida
Holguin sports shooter Leuris Pupo Requejo, Olympic champion in London-2012, has confirmed that he will train in Tampa, United States, from the 10 to 20 December.

Invited by the Shooting Sports Federation, Pupo will train along with shooters from that northern country who have qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2016.

"This training will be very important to me due to the high performance quality of US athletes, for that reason I will take advantage of each practice session," said Pupo Requejo.

The best sport shooting athlete of the region at all times, achieved a successful performance at the National Elite Championships, wining gold medal at 25 m rapid fire pistol and silver metal in standard sports pistol.

In March he attended the Central American and the Caribbean Championship held in El Salvador, where he won the gold medal in his specialty (25 meters rapid shooting) and the bronze medal in the standard pistol.

The World Cup held in Munich, was his most outstanding performance in 2015 after winning the silver metal and his qualification for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

His performance in the aforementioned World Cup in 2016 will allow Pupo to attend the fifth Olympics, ratifying his high competitive level for nearly three decades.
