The squad from that company in the municipality of Cacocum, in Holguin province, came from behind and got the coveted gold medal in the last match of the best of the seventh.

They were losing (10 – 0), but reacted and scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, three runs in the seventh, and five in the eighth inning in the ballpark of the town of "Cristino Naranjo" to secure the win.

Righhander Juan Alberto Cruz won his third match in the final stage.

The winning squad produced 17 hits, and made an error.

Batsmen Yusnier Pino and Yosvani Millan from the team of "Cristino Naranjo" homered, and Lazaro Rodriguez and Yoelsis Leal from the "30 de noviembre" company did so too.

The best last performance by the squad of "Cristino Naranjo" took place in 1998 by ranking fourth in the Cuban Sugar Baseball League.

And this year to top the Cuban Sugar Baseball League they won over the squad of the "Arquimedes Colina" company from Granma province (Winner in 2014), and also the team of the "Ciro Redondo" company from Ciego de Avila in the semi-final stage, and now edged the team of the "30 de noviembre."

The team that represented the Cristino Naranjo sugar company came home with three defeats and a single win, but won three straight matches to grab the crown for the first time.

Villa Clara is the most winning province of the Cuban Sugar Baseball League with eight crowns; it is followed by Camaguey and Granma, with four wins apiece.
