The women's team of Cuba won the bronze medal in the Copa de Norte, Central America and the Caribbean (Norceca) Volleyball Challege, based in Edmonton, Canada, defeating Trinidad and Tobago 3-0, in a tournament that won Puerto Rico.

The Cubans got the bronzed victory this Sunday with partials of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-13, after one hour and six minutes of play, with highlight for the Trinidadian Darlene Ramdim, top scorer of the match with 16 points, supported by Channon Thompson (12).

For the winners stood out Regla Gracia (13), Diaris Pérez (12) and captain Suliam Matienzo (11).

The statistics reflect the dominance of the Cubans, with positive balance in the attack, 44 by 31, the block (6-3), the service (6-1) and the mistakes made that contribute points to the rivals (13-19) .

The undefeated Puerto Rico also won the gold medal this Sunday, winning 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-27 and 15-8) to Canada, a triumph that assured him the only ticket in game for the League of Nations of the International Federation of the sport of 2019.

Daly Santana stood out for the Puerto Ricans with 30 points, of these 27 in the attack and three in the block, while the northern highlights Alexa Lea Gray (18).
