Holguin shortstop Yordan Manduley did not hit a five-hitter in the Quebec Capitals' 6-2 loss to the New Jersey Jackals at the close of the first sub-series of the Canadian American League.

Manduley, as shortstop and first bat of the current monarchs, finished this first confrontation with average offensive of 235, product to four hits in 17, with a double and two runs scored.

This game was opened and lost by right-hander Lazaro Blanco, who allowed three clean runs in 5.2 innings, hit him seven hits, gave three strikeouts and gave away the same number of tickets.

For the Capitals this was his first defeat in four field trips, the successes were also before the New Jersey team, with 2-0, 6-1, and 3-0 scores respectively.

The next match of the monarchs of the CanAm, from this Tuesday, will be only two games against the Rockland Boulders.
