The first National Workshop on Comprehensive Urban Planning sponsored by the Association of Cuban Architects and Civil Engineers start debates today in the north-eastern city of Holguin.
Raul Figueredo, the event's coordinator, said the meeting is part of the project "Holguin, ciudad parque" (Holguin, Park City), whose goal is promoting city's tangible and intangible heritages thru its net of parks and squares.

Figueredo also noted that the event will become an ideal space to raise the commitment of institutions and professionals to work in an urban practice that respond to the phenomena and impacts that occur in the interaction with the various spheres of society.
