Ramon Labañino Salazar accompanied by hie wife Elizabeth Palmeiro stood there before a river of young faces that wanted to hera the Hero.
They asked Labañino about future plans, his stay in prison, the meeting with the family, the happiest and hardest moments, and the Cuban Five meeting with Fidel Castro.
The Hero, calm, friendly, and a joker at times, went over his years as a student, talked of his family and told other stories.
He thanked the Cuban people's support, specially children and youths.
Labañino talked on the first days in prison, the food, the treatment given, the stay in the hole, family visits and the sad byes.
He shared with the audience his relation with his wife and three daughters. He said he left Cuba when his daughters were barely little girls, and he saw them again 16 years later they were women already.
A nice moment came with a student calling "Adriana and Gerardo, Olga and Rene and you two (Elizabeth and Ramon) today's Rome and Juliet.
Meeting with the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, was just amazing.
Fidel's question that broke the ice was: "Too many mosquitoes in prison? Later, we talked of economy, environment, and other interesting issues," Labañino said, and added that before leaving the asked Fidel Castro what to do next and he told them to be scientists.
In fact, the Hero of the Republic of Cuba told the children and youth: "Never stop going for the excellent thing."
Of course, there were pictures, autographs and much joy of being Cubans and having a hero closed to them.
