The new implements to be mainly sold to the sugar cane industry is made with the collaboration of foreign entities, which points at producing new machines and the modernization of the ones already in used in the country.
A harvester that could exceed the operations by about three KTP sugar cane harvesters is one of the projects developed in Holguin, explained the general manager of the Heroes del 26 de Julio factory, Reynaldo Pupo Martinez.
This is joint project devised between the Center for the Development of Agricultural Machinery (CEDEMA) and the KTP factory, which will cut imports and guarantee spare parts as well.
They also have devised a machine to lift sugar cane bulk, which could also be exported as some clients are already interested on this new machine.
Those new projects will not alone benefit production plans of the two top mechanical companies in the north-eastern Cuban city of Hoguin, but will open as well new expectations for 2016, indeed a significant contribution to the country's economy. / By Leannis Berben Leyva.
