The Eighth International Conference on the Exploitation of Mineral Resources (CINAREM 2015) is slated for upcoming November 17 thru 19, at the "Doctor Antonio Nunez Jimenez" Higher Mining Institute located in the city of Moa, in the northeastern Cuban province of Holguin.

Under the slogan "For a sustainable mining development", the event will gather here domestic and foreign participants, who will be able to observe the work being carried out in this mining region, which stands as an important link in the development of the Cuban Nickel Industry.
CINAREM 2015 will host several international events such as workshops on Environmental Protection and Georesources; Geology and Mining; Electromechanical and Mining Communities, as well as the International Seminar on Metallurgy and Materials.
Participants will address topics related to mining and the environment, air quality, water and soil, natural hazards and risks, environmental education, conservation and wise use of natural resources.
Other topics for debate include those related to general and applied Geology, exploration of mineral deposits, underground constructions, geological and mining heritage and mineral beneficiation, extractive metallurgy, ferrous and non-ferrous materials technologies and process control.
The agenda also includes lectures, panels and roundtables, said the president of the organizing committee, Angel Oscar Navarro.
