The complete restoration of the emblematic Motel Bitiri, in the Cuban municipality of Mayari, is one of the ongoing works to meet the revival plan of the sector of commerce and gastronomy in the northeastern province of Holguin.

The actions that started last year keep gaining ground all across the province, where several commercial facilities, shops and stores, cafeterias and other units at the people's service have been repaired.
Armando Gomez, the main specialist in investments of the Commerce Business Group in the province, said that so far over four million pesos were used to improve services in several units.
Gomez explained that so far today half of the rooms at the Motel Bitiri are already rendering services, as rehab works continue till completing the remaining ones, including the swimming pool.
The expert said that other major investments go on in the province, as the repair of El Castillito restaurant in Mayabe Valley, the supermarket Garayalde in Holguin city and the Cananoba Compound, in the highlands of the municipality of Frank Pais, among other actions.
Gomez extolled the social impact of the units under repair today and before, as the stores and shops hit by the hurricanes that made landfall or crossed the province these last years.
