The elementary schools in the Cuban municipality of Moa keeps getting ready sight the fourth National Checking, which targets at the quality of the teaching-learning process, said MSc. Roxana Vega Rondon, who runs the Department of Education in the easternmost jurisdiction of the province of Holguin.
The exams slated for early 2016 will test students from second to sixth grade on the abilities and knowledge reached.
Vega Rondon explained that the exams will assess the students' performance, as well as the educative results, among which stand the motivation for learning, their self scope and their learning strategies.
Students' reading skills will be evaluated together with Mathematics and Sciences, which includes problems solving.
The tests that take place nationwide are also an international exercise.
The National Checking that measures the quality of teaching in the elementary level seeks guarantying a higher technical level and efficiency, as they contribute to developing the local strengths on students' evaluation.
The world effort to bring about education reforms for the last two decades have been inspired on the growing state interest on securing the universal access and coverage to education, as well as on effective learning thru the contents comprised in the new curricula.
