A second flight between Holguín and Georgetown, capital of the Cayman Islands, will feature on Cayman Airways' flight schedule beginning November 28.
According to Prensa Latina direct return flights will run on Saturdays, last one hour and allow for international connections at the Owen Roberts Airport.
A statement from the company, founded in July 1968, notes that the initiative aims to respond to growing passenger demand between the two countries, as well as offering more travel options to Canadian and European tourists visiting the Cayman Islands.
The PL report also highlights that Holguín was chosen given its position as Cuba's fourth most important city and its location, close to Santiago and Camagüey, two other popular tourist destinations.
Thus the Cuban city will become the 17th destination to feature on Cayman Airways' flight chart.
