Radio Angulo staffers are celebrating today the 80 anniversary of the foundation of CMKO, a station at the people's service with news and information, culture, orientations, fun and sound recreation for its large audience in the Cuban province of Holguin.
Fiesta at CMKO, Radio Angulo, Sight its 80th Birthday

Today, it is worth remembering the man who founded CMKO, martyr of the Cuban Revolution, Manuel Angulo Farran, its owner who aired his message on August the first, 1936.

CMKO, one of the oldest radio stations in Cuba stores a rich history, faithful to the principles of preserving the conquests of the Cuban project that started in 1959.

The Holguin Province Radio Broadcasting System marks today together with its goers this birthday because its main station keeps them informed on the everyday events taking place in that north-eastern jurisdiction.

This Radio Broadcasting System is made up of nine municipal stations and five studios which keep the audience informed and happy thru all its shows.

CMKO shows go from the news ones like Contigo and De Primera Mano; the social facilitator show Apartado Popular; musical shows like AM-FM, Que tal joven; the participation show La Formula, and others followed by a large audience that .

This morning, CMKO staffers and goers met at the main studio of this station to mark the 80 years of the cultural institution that rejoices at the birthday fiesta and the services to inform and delight the main addressees of its program: the people.

Decorations and acknowledgements were granted in the ceremony to staffers for their work, life career and the contributions made to Radio Angulo. / By Jorge Luis Moreira Massague.

    I wish Radio Angulo all the best. I wrote to the Director some months ago hoping to arrange a visit to the station when I am in Holguin in September, and am awaiting a reply.
