A parade of the technique, exercise of extinction in a deposit of fuels and the delivery of recognitions to those who have stood out more in the prevention, marked the inaugural day of the 52 Fire Protection Week (PCI) in this province of Holguín, whose activities will conclude the next day 20, coinciding with the closing of the Exercise ¨Meteoro-2018¨, which will have as center the Villa Blanca de Gibara.

The Fuel Trading Company (Cupet) of Holguín, where these activities took place, deserved special recognition for its results in prevention, other protection measures and the proven quality in the provision of services, which go beyond transportation and marketing of elements as vital to the economy as fuels and gas.

In the simulation of fire extinction, combined forces of the Fire Department (CBC), the entity's PCI Brigade (BPCI), and the Cuban Red Cross participated, appreciating an effective and rapid response, after the signal of the event, with well coordinated actions in which the professionalism and skill of the participants was put to the test.

With the presence of leaders of the Popular Power, chiefs and officials of the Ministry of the Interior, the Fire Department and the National Revolutionary Police, as well as the executive of the Association of Volunteer Firemen of this province, were stimulated, together with the Cupet Company, other agencies, specialties, combatants and workers.

As the PCI Week also coincides with the Road Safety, which takes place in Cuba in favor of education, prevention and management of road safety and transportation in the country, drivers who accumulate years without accidents were stimulated in the activity, which also referred to the Week of Disaster Reduction, prior to the Exercise "Meteor", which precedes the Cyclonic Season (June 1 to November 30).
