Deficiencies affect the investment process in Holguin

The efficiency of the investment process in Holguin, as in any part of the world, depends, to a large extent, on the precision of the projects, compliance with execution schedules, the availability and quality of the materials, the efficiency of the builders and constant supervision of investors and designers.

At the moment this process is affected in the eastern Cuban province, mainly due to deficiencies in the production of construction materials in the localities, lack of labor and late payment in the delivery of the necessary documentation, which includes the permits of organisms involved in the matter such as the Institute of Physical Planning and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, among others.

At the end of 2017, the municipality of Holguín, for example, of the 22 lines of physical production controlled in the program of production of construction materials, managed to produce 19, with evaluation of that year by the national commission.

However, at the end of March 2018, the territory failed to produce water tanks, concrete slab windows, plateaus and low carbide cement, which were negatively affected by the Threshold and Construction Company companies of Popular Power number 14.

However, the polygon of materials for the construction of local industries, located in the area of La Cuaba, achieves excellent results in the production of plastic pipe components and aluminum shutter sheets, replacing the woodwork. The Pedernales stone mill was also inaugurated.

The main problems of the investment process in the territory also highlights the lack of quality in the information provided to the workers of the construction companies themselves, since there are concerns and disagreements with the instability of resources, which affect the use of the workday.

The staff of bricklayers is still incomplete, mainly in the construction companies Umbrales and ECOPP, which is the main cause of non-compliance with housing execution plans.
