To conclude the 40th anniversary of the Trade Union of Workers of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services, this Saturday the Villa Nueva Complex was inaugurated, within the boundaries of the Dagoberto Sanfield and Villa Nueva districts of the city of Holguín.
At the Complex, where previously a branch of the Banco Popular de Ahorro was located, a restaurant, a cafeteria, an ideal Market and an Industrial Craft Market were added, which will have the administration and direction of the Business Group of Commerce in the province.
At the opening ceremony were present the highest authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Provincial Assembly of People's Power in the province, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar and Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, respectively; along with the managers, workers and neighbors of the place.
The also member of the Central Committee, Torres Iríbar, exchanged with the members of the community, who expressed their gratitude before the resuscitation of the neighborhood, in which approximately 50 thousand people live.
It should be noted that in the buildings of this division, in addition to doctors, military and professionals from various sectors, live mostly families affected by weather events and critical social cases, to whom the apartments were delivered more than a year ago.
The pretensions of the governmental authorities are that, as these communities arise, complexes are built where their inhabitants have basic services and do not have to travel to the city center to acquire them.
Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar checked the status of each of the facilities and spoke with the workers, encouraging them to provide a quality service to a remarkably grateful population.
