On the morning of this Wednesday, the candidates for deputies to the Cuban Parliament and delegates to the Provincial Assembly of People's Power (government) in Holguín are presented at the seat of the municipal government of the capital of the territory of the same name.
During the meeting presented the main achievements of the municipality in the political, social and economic, as well as the deficiencies in which it will be necessary to direct efforts in the future.
There is a debate about the importance of local development projects in the city and how much they contribute to the economic order.
Omar Serrano Abreu, Secretary of the Assembly in Holguin, expressed the importance of this election process being the first to take place in Cuba without the physical presence of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, who will also be dedicated to the formation of these provincial and national assemblies.
The General of the Army Corps Ramón Espinosa Martín, member of the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Jorge Cuevas Ramos, head of the Department of Transport, Tourism, Communications and Services are present at the meeting.
