Holguín ready for next Sunday's elections

The province of Holguín is fully ready to hold the elections of delegates to the municipal assemblies of the Popular Power next Sunday, November 26, after solving the deficiencies detected in the dynamic test.

Caridad Ramos Sánchez, President of the Provincial Electoral Commission, told the Cuban News Agency that in the 1,513 schools set up in Holguín the ballot boxes, the necessary documentation and the technological device are guaranteed, so that the different instances could flow smoothly informative parts on the day of the vote. In addition, communications, transportation, food, and other logistical elements are assured to carry out the elections with quality, where the 1,266 delegates from Holguin will be elected

Ramos also stressed that the availability of messengers, fanciers, radio amateurs and other alternative means of communication was also envisaged, in order to support elections in those places which are difficult to access, such as the Turquino Plan communities.

She also pointed that the 23,000 electoral authorities of the territory possess the knowledge, discipline and necessary commitment to fully undertake the suffrage.
