The nomination of candidates for delegates to the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power in Cuba entered its final stage in the province of Holguín, by registering today more than 90 percent of the meetings scheduled for this purpose.
Ernesto Hernández, secretary of the Electoral Commission in the eastern territory, said that there are only left 393 of the 4,200 meetings planned in this stage of nomination of delegates to local government bodies, according to established in the National Electoral Law.
He pointed out that the Holguín municipalities which have already concluded their nomination assemblies are Antilla and Frank País, while the rest ones have well organized the calendar of those still to be completed, which ensures that the province is fully capable of complete the program for the 20th of the current month.
Since the beginning of this stage of the nomination process, on September 4, interrupted for several days due to the effects of Hurricane Irma, Holguín has distinguished itself for the massive participation of the people and quality of the assemblies.
