Holguin´s people and visitors will have the possibility to enjoy of a new gastronomic complex which will soon open its doors in this city.

El Mesón, located at the top of the pizzeria Roma, at the intersection of Maceo and Agramonte streets, will consist of two units: El Bucan, a restaurant specialized in smoked meat and D 'tapas and bar, in cheeses and wines.

Demetrio Martínez, manager of the complex, in statements to local newspaper ¡ahora!, pointed out that both units will open to the public from 12 noon to 10 and 45 pm and the entry will be on a first come, first served basis and the offers will be available in both currencies.

El Bucan will offer smoked products including sausages, hams, bacon, pork tenderloin and charcoal specialties, among others. The cocktail service will be based on Cuban rums, especially rum Santiago de Cuba, star product of Cuba Ron, the main supplier of alcoholic beverages.

The D 'tapas and bar "it will be a romantic bar, in a pleasant, intimate atmosphere, specialized in spreading the culture of consumption of cheeses and wines,” Martínez said.

About the menu, Demetrio Martínez explained that it will be based on three varieties of cheeses produced in the Dairy Products Company of Holguín, fresh cheeses, string cheese and semi-hard cheese, accompanied with biscuits and some pickles, in addition to Soroa wine and canned and bottled national beers.

Regarding the suppliers, he said that priority will be given to productions of local entities like Tradisa, for smoked products, the Dairy Company, Frutas Selectas and the Horticultural Company Wilfredo Peña, with vegetables.

Both units will have a private room, including a VIP lounge in El Bucan with capacity for 12 people, where the client can book in advance for three to four hours, for family dinners, birthdays or other celebrations.

In D 'tapas and bar, will have a cava with drinks of all ranges, with a minimum consumption and capacity.

The decoration of the Complex highlights the originality of its interior design and furniture, in charge of the Cuban Cultural Property Fund.

The manager of the complex also highlighted the support of the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the province, especially Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, the First Secretary of the Party organization and agencies involved.// Written by Maria Caridad Martínez Peregrín //ahora.cu

    I have recommended this new venue for inclusion on TripAdvisor, where customers can place reviews, together with other Holguin restaurants which are listed. All Holguin hotels and restaurants would benefit from paying close attention to reviews, on the various TripAdvisor sites in the USA, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Canada etc and take heed of the suggestions made to improve their service.
